“And they made upon the hem of the robe pomegranates of blue and purple, and scarlet and twined linen. And they made bells of pure gold and put the bells between the pomegranates upon the hem of the robe, round and about the pomegranates.”
This text inspires the name of our Guild. The photo above is a detail from our new version of our old shadow-quilted chuppah.
Our meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month, unless otherwise announced, from September to June, at Beth Emeth Bais Yehuda Synagogue, 100 Elder Street, Toronto, at 7:30 p.m.
After our celebratory 36th, what does the Pomegranate’s 2018/19 season hold in store?
More great monthly program nights, more intriguing techniques to explore, more inspiring artists to meet, more outreach opportunities and more special events, in other words, more of the same!
The precedent is set, so let’s repeat the fabulous.
Our theme this year is PATTERN. Which from a textile point of view covers a lot, so we added the dot, dot, dot. Our program will include hands on pattern making in 2 and 3-D with guest instructors; members sharing their particular skills; and a pattern challenge.
Does history repeat?
